Bespoke software development
Custom business applications, engineered around how you work.
What we build
Software for the work that makes your organisation distinctive.
- 01
Operational systems
Applications that run core processes, job management, scheduling, quoting, approvals, inventory, compliance records and the workflows unique to your organisation.
- 02
Internal business tools
Purpose-built tools that replace spreadsheets and manual workarounds with structured data, permissions and a full audit history.
- 03
Secure portals
Customer, supplier and partner portals that give the right people controlled access to information, documents and self-service functions.
- 04
Dashboards and reporting
Operational dashboards and reporting built on reliable data, so decisions are based on current information rather than manually assembled reports.
- 05
Workflow and approval systems
Multi-step processes with defined roles, notifications, approvals and a complete record of who did what, and when.
- 06
Data-rich web applications
Applications that bring together information from multiple sources, with search, filtering, exports and integrations to the systems you already use.
Is bespoke right for you?
When custom software is the right answer.
Bespoke software is a significant investment, and it isn’t always the right one. These are the circumstances in which it usually earns its place.
- Your processes are a genuine advantage that generic software would flatten.
- You pay for several products and still rely on spreadsheets to connect them.
- Off-the-shelf tools need so much configuration or workaround that they no longer fit.
- You need control over data, security, hosting or integrations that packaged software can’t offer.
- Growth is constrained by manual effort that software could remove.
How we build
Engineered properly from the first decision.
- 01
Architecture before code
Data model, components, integrations, hosting and security are designed and agreed before production development begins.
- 02
Responsive, accessible interfaces
Browser-based applications that work across desktop, tablet and mobile, designed around the people who use them every day.
- 03
Role-based access and audit trails
Permissions that reflect your organisation’s structure, with a record of significant changes where accountability matters.
- 04
Automated testing throughout
Automated tests and quality checks on every change, so the application keeps working as it grows.
- 05
Cloud deployment and documentation
Secure, repeatable deployment to managed cloud infrastructure, with technical documentation delivered alongside the software.
Questions
Common questions.
How much does bespoke software cost?
Cost depends on scope, complexity, integrations and the level of ongoing support required, so we don’t publish prices. Following requirements discovery and a technical assessment, we provide a proposal based on what your project actually needs.
How long does a project take?
Timescales depend on scope and priorities. We agree a realistic delivery plan during discovery, which can include an initial release focused on the highest-value functionality, followed by further iterations.
Do you build mobile apps?
We build responsive browser-based applications that work well on phones and tablets as well as desktops. Native iOS and Android app development is not currently part of our offering.
Who owns the software you build?
Our bespoke development engagements are structured around customer ownership of the agreed deliverables, including commissioned source code and intellectual property. Ownership, licensing and any third-party components are set out in the project agreement.
Can the new software work with our existing systems?
Yes. Most business applications need to exchange data with existing platforms. We assess what you already run during discovery and design integrations as part of the architecture.
